Can I claim rebates through Medicare or my Private Health Insurance?
Please contact your insurance provider to determine whether your private health insurance covers Occupational Therapy.
If you or your child have a Chronic Disease Management plan (formally an Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) plan), a Medicare rebate is available for five sessions per person per calendar year. A gap fee applies for the five sessions. Please see your GP for more information about your eligibility for a Chronic Disease Management plan..
Do you provide Functional Capacity Assessments?
Yes. We are highly skilled in providing functional capacity assessments and detailed reports for the NDIS. Please contact us for more information.
What is the typical Occupational Therapy process?
First, an initial assessment will be completed to gather information about your needs or the needs of your child. The initial assessment typically takes place over several sessions but is dependent on each person. Once the assessment is completed, our therapists use a family-centred approach to identify and prioritise goals for therapy sessions. After this, therapy planning and sessions will commence. The frequency of sessions will be discussed with you to ensure they best suit your needs or the needs of your child. Goals are reviewed regularly and once achieved, individuals are usually discharged from therapy services.
How many therapy sessions will I/my child need?
The number of sessions required varies for each person and depends on the number of goals and support required. We will create family-centred goals that are individualised to you or your child. Progress will be monitored and reviewed regularly.
How far do you travel and is there a fee?
We cover the Sutherland Shire, nearby surrounds and some areas of Southwest Sydney. Travels fees are apportioned between clients within close vicinity on the same day.
